This two-part webinar series will explore national and local efforts advancing interoperability across the public health ecosystem. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of federal frameworks, emerging models, and the practical role of intermediaries such as Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) and Health Data Utilities (HDUs).
Webinar 1 will provide a foundational overview of public health intermediaries and national interoperability initiatives. Speakers will share updates on the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA) and the CMS Interoperability Framework, highlighting recent developments and future directions.
Webinar 2 will take a deeper dive into how intermediaries, including HIEs and HDUs, support real-world data exchange for public health action. Participants will hear directly from PHAs as they share experiences, lessons learned, and considerations for engaging in interoperability initiatives.
