The White House recently released “A Budget for a Better America,” a summary of President Trump’s proposed FY20 budget. The Administration also provided additional details about the request in the agency-specific Congressional justifications.

As a reminder, Congress has the authority to approve, reject, or modify the budget’s recommendations. Therefore, it is critical that public health leaders take time to educate and inform their members of Congress about the impact of cuts and the need for sustained and increased resources for governmental public health activities at the federal, state, and local levels.
