ASTHO’s new resiliency program to support public health workforce, the Public Health, Equity, Resilience, and Opportunity Program (PH-HERO), will hold a convening for all state and territorial health officials immediately following the 2022 ASTHO Leadership Institute Residential program. This event is designed to address the trends and challenges facing the public health workforce and support implementation opportunities to create a culture of wellbeing and resilience within public health agencies to reduce mental health concerns, aid in overall recruitment and retention efforts, and boost collective morale. The PH-HERO convening will run from mid-day on Wednesday, June 29 through end-of-day on Thursday, June 30. Travel and lodging costs will be fully covered by ASTHO. A virtual option for a portion of this meeting will be available.
