Islands Health Action Institute 3.0: Storytelling and Sustaining Efforts

Starts:  Apr 8, 2025 08:00 AM (ET)
Ends:  Apr 10, 2025 04:30 PM (ET)

Join ASTHO, OT21-2103 islands grant recipients, experts, and partners for a two-day, in-person event on storytelling and sustainability.
This event offers participants the opportunity to share success stories and develop strategies on sustaining efforts to improve population health. Discussions will focus on how integrating braiding and layering funding, leveraging community health workers, and using data for decision-making can strengthen these initiatives.

Participants will benefit from:

  • Connection with peers and national partners
  • Storytelling sessions highlighting accomplishments that improve health in island jurisdictions
  • Planning for the long-term sustainability OT21-2103 work past the end of the grant period, including connections to other funding mechanisms like PHIG
  • Assistance and technical support from ASTHO and partners
  • ASTHO will pay for travel expenses (e.g., hotel, airfare, per diem) for island health officials and up to two OT21-2103 project leads and co-leads attending the event. We will share a logistics guide with more details on travel expenses covered and instructions on how to book your hotel reservation and flights upon receiving your registration.
