Public health preparedness increasingly depends on recognizing and addressing the interconnected nature of human, animal, and environmental health. To support this effort, the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), in collaboration with the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists, the Department of Homeland Security Office of Health Security, and state public health partners, developed A Guide to One Health Advancement in Public Health Agencies.
The guide reflects the findings, lessons learned, and recommendations generated through a multi-sector workshop that gathered public health leaders, federal agencies, and partners from animal and environmental health disciplines. Join ASTHO and guide contributors for an upcoming webinar, which will highlight promising practices from jurisdictions across the country and facilitate discussion on opportunities to advance One Health integration within state and territorial public health agencies and their partners.
