Join ASTHO staff for a Practical Application Workshop. This workshop aims to build knowledge about advancing health belonging and increase capacity within state government agencies to redesign public health infrastructure to streamline community engagement efforts.

After a brief introduction, attendees will break into sessions:

  • Strategic Planning & Action Roadmap for Key Transformation (SPARK)
  • Storytelling: Translating Qualitative & Quantitative Data into Effective Dissemination.
  • State Community Engagement: Cultivating Organizational Culture

Objectives:

  • Identify different approaches for cultivating and maintaining trusting partnerships across state health agencies and communities.
  • Explore dynamics for sharing power and assuring agency within communities.
  • Evaluate existing organizational structures to identify areas where equity principles can be integrated.
  • Explore the adaptation of long-term sustainability models and best practices tailored to streamline agency infrastructure and community-based engagement efforts.
  • Discuss the latest communications landscape, identify ways to reach your target audience, and how to package your story.
