2026 Directors of Public Health Preparedness Annual Meeting

Join ASTHO for the 20th Annual Directors of Public Health Preparedness Meeting, taking place in Seattle, Washington. This three-day, in-person meeting will provide a venue for Directors of Public Health Preparedness to network and engage with their jurisdictional peers, as well as federal and association partners.

The event will include sessions designed to understand the current landscape of public health preparedness, support peer interaction and professional growth, identify strategies to highlight the value of public health preparedness, share challenges and promising practices, and more.

Meeting Objectives:

• Identify practical strategies for applying federal investments in public health and health care emergency preparedness to better align with the full ESF-8 scope and breadth for which DPHPs are responsible.
• Examine emerging trends and priorities shaping the evolving public health and health care preparedness landscape and explore approaches to better measure and communicate impact.
• Maintain and expand connections with peers and partners by sharing experiences to foster long-lasting relationships that enhance preparedness and response capabilities.
