June Office Hours: Interested Parties & Evaluation: Building Support and Measuring Success

When:  Jun 16, 2026 from 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM (ET)

Policy development is a team effort. As part of ASTHO’s Policy Institute for STI and Infectious Disease Prevention, join this upcoming session to build upon previous Office Hours and focus on interested parties’ engagement and policy evaluation. Participants will engage in an interactive activity using policy examples from earlier sessions (e.g., delayed and incomplete STI reporting; low partner testing driving syphilis transmission) to map key interested parties involved in policy development and participate in a guided discussion on evaluation considerations and best practices.

Learning objectives:

  • Explore how mapping interested parties can support STI policy development and implementation using real-world examples.
  • Discuss approaches for engaging interested parties across sectors throughout the policy development process.
  • Review core concepts and considerations in policy evaluation and consider how findings may inform policy refinement, implementation, and future decision-making.

**This session is open only to state health agency representatives. For additional information, please contact: [email]**
