Modernizing Public Health Using the Foundational Public Health Services (Webinar) (PHNCI)

07-25-2022 04:39 PM

In response to the 2012 IOM report entitled "For the Public’s Health: Investing in a Healthier Future," the foundational public health services model was developed as a set of public health services that must be made available in all communities and for which costs could be estimated. On October 18, 2016, PHNCI, the current leader for this body of work, described the model, its relevance to the field, and its alignment with accreditation. The webinar also explored how Washington State is using this model to assess and modernize their governmental public health system and make the case for sustainable funding.
